About

covington_portRocky Covington was born and raised in Rockingham, a small town in eastern North Carolina. His mom was a school teacher and his father worked at the local textile mill. Growing up, he ran track and played basketball for his high school. He then attended Atlantic Christian College (now known as Barton College) on a basketball scholarship, and is enshrined in the Barton College Athletic Hall of Fame. After college, he joined the army and then went to work in corporate America in the banking industry.

By the time Rocky turned 30 years old, he had worked his way up to Vice President at a bank in Raleigh, North Carolina. However, he had also started evaluating his life and found that he felt little joy in working within the corporate structure. He knew that there had to be more to life. In 1977, a high school friend approached Rocky about an opportunity to start his own business.

Rocky was excited and knew right away that this was what he was meant to do. He loved being his own boss, and found that he also enjoyed helping others achieve their goals and dreams in life; his business gave him the coaching job that he always wanted. Rocky quickly realized success in his business, which he attributes to his bulldog mentality. Once you choose to pursue something, you have to go at it like a bulldog.

As he has achieved success in his marketing business, Rocky has always given his time and energies to worthy charities in his local community. In particular, he has focused on Easter Seals, because of their commitment to meeting the needs of children and returning veterans and their families.

Today, Rocky calls Myrtle Beach, South Carolina home. One of the great things about being his own boss is that he can create a schedule that works for him, so he also has time to enjoy the beaches in Hawaii, Bermuda, and the Caribbean.

Rocky truly believes that you can be anything that you want to be and that you can get out of life what you are looking for. He has dedicated his life to helping others realize this and to be excited about their life, their dreams and the future. He inspires others to dream big and to never let go.
